Cobalt 8M is a compact desktop and 19-inch rack-mountable extended virtual-analogue synthesizer module offering 8 voices of polyphony in a chassis measuring 384 × 127 × 81 mm and weighing just 2.1 kg. Its oscillator engine generates up to 64 high-resolution virtual-analogue oscillators derived from sine, pulse, triangle and sawtooth waveforms, shaped by 31 resonant morphable and static filter types for warm, punchy analogue-style sounds.

Deep Modulation Matrix

Three dedicated envelope generators (AMP, MOD and FILTER), three audio-rate LFOs with tempo sync and eight assignable modulation slots with 12 sources and 55 destinations provide exceptional creative flexibility. Four additional fixed modulation routings further extend the expressive potential of each patch.

Effects and Sequencing

A three-slot FX engine with 26 effect algorithms covers Drive, Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Tremolo, LoFi, Rotary, Stereo Delay, Ping-Pong Delay, X-Over Delay and Reverb. The built-in 512-note sequencer and 32-step arpeggiator support live performance alongside MPE-compatible controllers. Up to 500 patch slots store custom sounds.

Connectivity

Cobalt 8M connects via USB, MIDI In/Out, dual 1/4" TS line outputs, a headphone output, a 1/8" TRS stereo audio input and built-in sustain and expression pedal inputs. Power is supplied via DC 9.0 V – 1.5 A centre-positive adaptor.
